Koffee Kat Featured In School Newsletter

The Pulse of Plattsburgh City Schools (November 2010) includes an article entitled "Koffee Kat Summer Book Club." Ms. Amanda Madore, a 4th grade teacher at Oak Street School, created a reading group for her for her former students so that they could keep learning before school resumed in the fall. The club met for two hours every Tuesday and Thursday morning at the Kat to discuss more complex titles. It provided an opportunity for the students to develop their reading, cognitive and social skills. The Koffee Kat, notes Madore in the article, was a good place for the students to use their best manners and interact with others.
